Przygotowania do Biegu Podhalańskiego

W Piwnicznej-Zdrój odbyło się spotkanie Wojciecha Gawora reprezentującego Wydział Upowszechniania Sportu Polskiego Związku Narciarskiego, z organizatorami biegów narciarskich. Spotkanie miało na celu doprecyzowanie regulaminu zmieniającej się formuły biegów adresowanych do amatorów. W sezonie 2013/14 dotychczasowe Mistrzostwa Polski Amatorów w biegach narciarskich zastąpią zawody o puchar, natomiast same mistrzostwa odbędą się jako dwudniowa impreza dla miłośników biegówek. Wśród zaproszonych na spotkanie osób byli również reprezentanci Nowego Targu: Jadwiga Guzik, Marcin Jagła i Mateusz Zamojski odpowiedzialni za organizację Biegu Podhalańskiego im. Jana Pawła II. Bieg Podhalański, który wyrósł na drugą co do wielkości imprezę w kraju, odbędzie się 8 lutego 2014 r. i znajdzie się na mapie imprez wchodzących w skład Pucharu Polski Amatorów. Jak zapewnił Wojciech Gawor biegi amatorskie będą mogły liczyć na promocję ze strony Polskiego Związku Narciarskiego co z pewnością wpłynie na popularyzację samych imprez jak również narciarstwa biegowego.
